Suatu waktu Hasan dan Husain bertengkar sehingga mereka saling mendiamkan untuk beberapa waktu lamanya. Sampai akhirnya Husain mengirim surat kepada kakaknya Hasan dan mengatakan, “saya tahu kebaikan dan pahala bagi orang yang mulai berbicara dan memaafkan setelah bertengkar, tapi saya tidak ingin mendahului kakak untuk mengambil.”
